Today, DMM published a news feature on Climbing for All Sheffield, including interviews with some of our climbers and with chair of trustees, Nick Whittaker.
Ray Wood of DMM visited us at The Foundry a couple of weeks ago. He met a couple of our climbers and spoke with Nick, Robin and Helen about the operation of our club. The resulting write-up covers not just the climbers’ experiences, but also the role of the club in the climbing community, the build-up of a team of volunteers and expertise in Sheffield, and development of skills for instructors to assist disabled climbing.
DMM, leading manufacturers of climbing hardware, generously sponsored us with kit when we started out. Ray Wood came across to Sheffield from DMM’s base in Llanberis to meet us and find out more about our initiative to create climbing opportunity and involvement for young people with disabilities.
