We’re missing our climbing sessions very much! And send our best wishes to our climbers, volunteers and supporters.
Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can welcome our existing and future club members back to sessions at The Foundry.
We cancelled our March sessions as the threat of Covid-19 became clear, and then came Lockdown. No climbing sessions since, but we’ve had a couple of entertaining quiz sessions on zoom, inviting our registered climbers and volunteers. Now The Foundry has reoepened (with covid measures in place) we’re thinking about how and when we can safely offer sessions. Some of our climbers and volunteers, or members of their households, are on the Extremely Vulnerable list, and our plans will take this into account.
No need to contact us just yet about sessions – we’ll put a notice on the website when we’re restarting and, of course, on our Facebook page.
A big thanks to fundraisers and donors who helped us operate last year. Our fundraising page has closed but we’ll make a new one at some stage. Do get in touch if you want to make payments into our bank account – we’d like to know who you are and to thank you! A new thing is Amazon Smile, which lets you make small donations to your favourite charity as you shop. There are some worthwhile charities to choose from ….and now you can choose us if you wish – click here to get the option to support Climbing for All Sheffield when you make qualifying purchases on Amazon: if you shop on Amazon and want to make small donations as you shop you can while you shop on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1166860-0
Good luck to everyone in these interesting or not-so-interesting times. Looking forward to seeing people back at the Foundry in due course!
